A few words from our students, both children and adult…
“The staff at Arts Integra are great! They make learning music easy and fun!”
Christian & Olivia Fuina
“My name is Jessica Mellor. I am thirteen years old. I have been taking lessons at Arts Integra since 2007 and I cannot believe how much my singing has improved from the Vocal lessons and coaching I have received there. My teacher has helped me so much with my singing technique that has made a big difference in the way my voice sounds. I love working with Cassandra because she inspires me to do my best every single time. I feel that the amazing success I have had this past year with vocal competitions has been due to the outstanding coaching I have had from Cassandra. Once of the best things I like about my lesson time with Cassandra is that we have fun together. She makes me feel great about my singing and makes me feel I can achieve anything I desire. Cassandra is the best!! I would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their singing!”

“I praise and thank our God for bringing us together. You have taught me so much about the gift of voice and singing. I will always remember to sing to the end and no “H’s”! May He bless you in all you do and continue to shower you with His grace and mercy. Our paths will undoubtedly cross again. Keep bringing sunshine to all you meet in your calling as a superb teacher! With His love and prayers,
Karman Tam
Cassandra not only helped me to sing more clearly and with more power, she showed me how to protect my voice, which is crucial for me. Her teaching style and encouragement have given me more confidence to really go for it with my voice both in the studio and on stage.

I first met Cassandra Bourne at the Pembroke Kiwanis Music Festival. She was the vocal adjudicator and I was among many competitors. The very first impact Ms. Bourne made on my singing was providing constructive criticism and encouragement in the festival itself.
Later, I found out that Cassandra had recommended for me to perform at a provincial level in the musical theatre category. This was an opportunity unlike any I’d ever had and it was a great adventure and learning experience to compete with some the Ontario’s finest at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
I also had the opportunity to work with Cassandra Bourne for a week in August 2008, thus begun the lessons that completely changed my outlook on singing.
We began by looking at the anatomy of the voice. Once the anatomical structures were taken care of, we started signing. After about one scale, she stopped me and taught me how to apply the aspects of my body that we had just learned to support my sound. Singing pretty much became a physical workout after that…and we hadn’t even begun any songs.
After one lesson with Cassandra I had learned so much that I was overwhelmed. We covered diction, phonetics, languages, expression, rhythm, opera, musical theatre, vibrato, head voice, chest voice and even managed to get to know one another in the process.
The next three lessons unfolded similarly, as we dug deeper and deeper into my voice and my songs. I felt stretched and challenged but encouraged as well. Even now, weeks later, I’m still absorbing all the things she taught me.
Cassandra helped me see and reach new level with my voice but I know I still have much to learn and maintain. Cassandra did an amazing thing by taking me under her wing and teaching me as much as she could in so little time. It was an unforgettable experience and I am very grateful to her for her guidance and leadership.”
