ARTS INTEGRA ACADEMIC LEARNING & TUTORING CENTRE

We can help you.

Arts Integra offers a fantastic tutoring program, inclusive range of enrichment and remedial learning programs where students benefit from receiving one-on-one tutoring help from the warm and caring, highly-trained and certified professionals at the Arts Integra Learning Centre.

Your child will receive a strong foundation of the basics in order to acquire the good grades, skills and study habits needed to improve academic performance through an individually-based, customized program, designed to meet the challenges presented in the academic areas of the Ontario curriculum where attention is needed..

Each session is governed by your child’s own learning style and pace. There are no intimidating “diagnostic” tests. Our concern is that your child feel comfortable, secure and cared for, able to enjoy learning. We accommodate your schedule, so that lesson times are convenient for your family.

Concepts and information processing are taught through the homework and assignments given by your child’s homeroom teacher so that no time is wasted and so that your child is not overwhelmed by additional work. The extraordinary teachers at Arts Integra impart learning strategies combining skills and knowledge to encourage the development of healthy daily homework techniques, fostering self-sufficiency, confidence and discipline in the student.

Faculty members are educated, knowledgeable and aware of various curriculum expectations. They are able to motivate and to present subject matter in multiple contexts tailored to individual needs by respecting each student’s strengths, learning abilities and unique personality in order to support the continuum of learning from one grade to the next. Our Director and Department Heads work closely with teachers and are available for periodic class observations and parent consultations, complimenting Arts Integra’s highly trained and devoted faculty.

The staff at Arts Integra believe in working together in a partnership with teachers, parents and caregivers, sharing information on the strengths, needs, interests, abilities, and learning styles of your child in order to better select, plan and organize materials for the best learning experience possible. This mutual commitment and collaboration between teachers, parents, students and the staff at Arts Integra allow for the student to become an engaged and empowered learner, supported by caring individuals that are aligned in their academic goals of achievement.

An individual orientation during registration is held directly with the Director or Department Head prior to the start of each academic year in order to facilitate the partnership between new and returning parents, students and staff. This opportunity for communication is aimed to support your child’s learning by determining developmentally appropriate and pedagogically sound practices to help to encourage active and positive participation so that your child may become a successful learner.
